Meet your Reiki Practitioner
Hi, I’m Fleur
Reiki came into my life at quite a pivotal moment, it was the right path to follow at the right time, everything felt “Just So”.
I have always had a passion for helping and supporting people, and with a background in hospitality, a love of providing exceptional customer service. During the past year I have studied, practised and experienced a lot through Reiki and the power that it holds. I have a real passion and feel very lucky that my current client base includes both experienced Reiki practitioners and new clients experiencing Reiki for the very first time.
Reiki has no prejudice, it’s just kind and helpful and healing.
I am one of only 22 Reiki for Menopause specialists in the UK, something I wanted to understand so much more about after my own difficult experiences. I studied with Lyndsey and Steve at the Somerset School of Hypnotherapy where I completed my Reiki 1 and 2 and my Menopause studies. I am soon to finish Hypnotherapy as well.
Please get in contact if you’d like to chat about what I can do for you.

The Menopause Reiki is an 8 session program designed bespoke for each person’s specific symptoms. It has a timeline to get through all 8 sessions to maximise the benefits from the course.
We start with a questionnaire that helps me build a bespoke course for you and your symptoms.

At its core, Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen 'life force energy' flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. When this energy is low or blocked, we are more likely to feel stress or fall ill; when it's high, we're more capable of being happy and healthy.
A common myth about Reiki is that it's simply a form of spiritual healing without any real impact on the physical body. However, this isn't entirely true. While Reiki is indeed a spiritual practice, its effects can be physical and measurable. Practitioners believe that by channelling energy into a patient by means of touch, they activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being. This process can help reduce pain, accelerate healing, and decrease symptoms of illness.
Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a "universal energy" is transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. This is often done in a tranquil setting, promoting a state of deep relaxation and peace, which in itself is a beneficial state for healing and well-being.
Interesting Fact:
An intriguing aspect of Reiki is its principle of 'non-intrusion.' Unlike many forms of traditional medicine, Reiki is performed without pressure, manipulation, or massage. It's purely about the transfer of energy, making it a unique non-invasive therapy. In fact, Reiki is so gentle that it's often used in various hospitals and healthcare settings, including hospices, to enhance the quality of care and pain management.

Reiki, often perceived as a practice limited to physical healing, surprisingly holds significant potential in addressing mental health concerns, particularly anxiety and depression. This gentle and non-invasive technique involves a Reiki practitioner channelling energy to the recipient, aiming to balance and harmonize the body's energy centres, often leading to a state of relaxation and emotional release.
A common misconception is that Reiki is too 'mystical' to have any real impact on serious mental health issues like anxiety and depression. However, this isn't entirely accurate. While Reiki should not replace conventional treatment for these conditions, it can be an effective complementary therapy. Many individuals have reported feeling more relaxed, peaceful, and mentally clear following Reiki sessions, which can be particularly beneficial for those dealing with anxiety and depression.
In the context of mental health, Reiki's approach is to create a calming and safe space where individuals can relax deeply. This relaxation response is crucial, as it can counteract the body's stress reaction, a common exacerbator of anxiety and depression symptoms. By promoting a deep sense of peace and well-being, Reiki can help alleviate the emotional and physical symptoms associated with these mental health conditions.
One fascinating aspect of Reiki in mental health is its growing acceptance in the medical community. Hospitals and clinics are increasingly incorporating Reiki programs, recognizing its benefits in reducing stress, anxiety, and improving overall patient well-being. In fact, some studies have noted that Reiki can help reduce anxiety and depression in cancer patients, demonstrating its potential beyond general wellness into more specialized medical contexts.

Your initial consultation will cover questions that help me understand the best way that I can help you. We will do a short Reiki session with feedback to help build a plan going forward.

I trained at the Somerset School of Hypnotherapy at Highbridge in Somerset and couldn’t recommend the courses they provide any more highly. It was great experience and I learnt so much from Lyndsey and Steve.

My starting price for one-off Reiki sessions are £45 and they last about an hour. I can put together a program with you and price accordingly.
